"The “Hayloft“  was our home-from-home this time. Why “this time” ?; because we could not resist returning after a 9 month absence to again sample Chris, Gabi and Dylan’s quite outstanding hospitality and exceptionally finished cottages. The ever increasing menagerie of farm animals is great fun – numerous horses, cows, countless dogs, at least one cat, a sheep with an identity crisis thinking it’s a dog, flocks of other sheep… The only animal species missing is highland cattle. After two visits we have only partially explored this wonderful area. It’s not a question of if,rather when “we will return”!!! "

"What a truly fantastic stay at Muirhall. The first few minutes after our arrival were a little scary – two things that our 14 month old lab (Max) had rarely experienced in his short life, first no lead and second five other dogs chasing him around! Max was soon very much amongst buddies !!
Chris – Ian was equally as gutted you were away this week but took full advantage of the Huxley toy!!
The cottages are an absolute credit to you and really made the trip to Scotland for us – it’s rare to receive such a welcome when you have a four legged “child” in tow!! All that’s left to say is a huge thank you for such a warm welcome – we will be back!"

"A perfect place to spend our honeymoon. On our journey here we were thinking “where are we! In the middle of nowhere!” However we got here and found the most beautiful cottages with everything we needed here (a big DVD collection) and everything else just 15 minutes away. We will definitely be back – hopefully next time with a dog of our own – as there is so much we haven’t seen. A week is not long enough to enjoy the cottage and everything that surrounds it. ‘The Byre’ Thank you for providing such high quality accommodation that allows pets- this is a rare find. The finish and presentation of the Byre is superb although we didn’t ever get used to having no curtains / blinds downstairs. A few hiccups with the Satellite TV meant that we had to be out with Billy more often (he says thanks).
